Just can't stop waving...

Sorry, no new photos today - haven't been to Wal-Mart to download photos to a disc for a few days now. I really just need to get our computer fixed so we can download straight to the hard drive. Anyway... Gunnar has officially learned how to wave. He's been doing it for about a week now, and while he doesn't always wave at appropriate times, he knows that people enjoy when he waves at them. So he waves and waves, and waits for a reaction, then laughs and waves some more. His first wave... I'd like to say it was at Justin or I, but no... I was checking out at Target, and he just reached up and waved at the checkout girl. I told her that was the first time he had really waved, and she told me it made her day.

Gunnar is getting incredibly adventurous with his standing. An average day recently includes around 5-6 crashes. I try to keep him away from trouble, but he makes trouble out of seemingly safe objects, like the couch, his toy basket, etc. Somehow, he manages to get himself in a position where the only way he can get back to crawling is to fall one way or another. He also now thinks me chasing him is a really fun game. He regularly makes a bee-line for the cable box, and as soon as I say his name and walk toward him, he makes a "run" for it and crawls as fast as he can. It's pretty funny now, but when he's walking, I don't think I'll be laughing anymore. Oh, and the other day, I was sitting maybe 4 feet away, opening some mail on the floor, and when I turned around 30 seconds later, Gunnar was on the landing of the stairs... that's right, he crawled the two stairs up to the landing all by himself. Time to get both baby gates up, eh?! I'm going to try to get to the store to download photos tomorrow before we head to Montana, so tomorrow's post might be chock full of backlogged photos. When we get back, we should have tons of new pictures and adventures to document!
